(MyFantasyLeague.com Fantasy Times Sources - Dec 28, 2009) In a week 16 Superior League 5 matchup, *Lakeview Lakers 5 squeaked by a tough BrownsROCK team by a score of 111.85 to 110.10, extending the winning streak for *Lakeview Lakers 5 to 9 games.
*Lakeview Lakers 5 were led to their 1.75 point victory by a 25.70 point effort from Adrian Peterson, who got by the Chicago Bears defense for 94 rushing yards and 2 rushing TDs in addition to 43 receiving yards. With this performance, Peterson was the number 4 ranked running back for week 16. They also got help from a 19.00 point effort from the San Francisco 49ers Defensive Team. "This team has overcome a lot of adversity," *Lakeview Lakers 5 coach Dane Strausz said. BrownsROCK were helped out in a losing cause by a 31.00 point effort from Donovan McNabb, who beat the Denver Broncos defense for 322 passing yards and 3 passing TDs in addition to 29 rushing yards. With this performance, McNabb was the number 2 ranked overall fantasy scorer for week 16. They also got help from a 17.00 point effort from the Dallas Cowboys Defensive Team. "We came out flat," BrownsROCK coach Mitch Cheselka said. Adding salt to the wound, BrownsROCK could have scored 128.80 points and earned the win with their best lineup, but Mitch Cheselka left key players like Darren Sproles and his corresponding 24.10 points on the bench. BrownsROCK drew the short straw with their schedule this week, as their point total would have resulted in a win against 8 out of 10 other potential opponents in week 16. This brings the record for *Lakeview Lakers 5 to 13-2, and drops BrownsROCK to a record of 9-7. | ||
